At Rachael's Centre we believe that there is a significant and growing urgency within the Jewish community for a pluralistic centre of learning and sharing. It is women who build communities and secure the next generation. However, in the modern world there are many impediments that can get in the way of this essential role. Time, knowledge gaps, media, competing value systems, life relevance, oppression, burn out and lack of community support are some of the obstacles. Moreover, assimilation and anti-Semitism continue to be real and powerful threats to the health and sustainability of all Jewish communities.
Right now there is a unique opportunity to empower women across the generations with knowledge, learning tools and a community focal point that can make a difference, within Judaism and beyond. An opportunity to create a place where women can engage, ask questions, build confidence through knowledge and reclaim their "place at the table" of Judaism.
Rachael’s Centre for Torah, Mussar & Ethics is a registered Canadian charity and depends on the generosity of its donors to expand the reach of our programmes.
