Living Judaism Your Way: Explaining, Understanding & Choosing
In your Jewish life you may often rely on things you learned as a child when it comes to Shabbat, Simchas, Mourning, or Relationships. Other times you may have avoided these topics because you never really got the chance to discuss them or find out what your own approach would be. These sessions allow you to get the factual information, understand the way different Jewish communities approach these issues, and finally make your own choice in how to engage.

Becoming a Jewish woman is a journey not just an event!
This programme is designed by Dr. Rachael Turkienicz for young women (Grades 5 and 6) and their mothers. Its inter-generational approach is focused on the timeless mother daughter relationship. Together we explore the external and internal challenges that can impact the development of this essential relationship. We offer connection strategies and activities that tie the past to the future. Finally, the learning and engagement for both mothers and daughters is fun, experiential and meaningful.
The programme offers eight 1½ hour sessions that take place at Rachael's Centre or in the community. It includes guest speakers, a trip to Kensington Market, creating a meal together and a wonderful closing celebration.
Take a look at the TOMgirls video and see what it's all about!
Course fees are $799 plus GST and $50 material cost, per couple (Mother and Daughter).
